MISSION: San Jose State University will create a technologically dynamic, collaborative and accessible educational environment that enhances teaching and learning, creativity, scholarship, and global connectivity. Our mission is to provide students with the skills, tools, and knowledge to maximize their opportunities to become life-long learners, productive citizens, and responsible individuals.

1. To have SJSU become a leader in improving teaching and learning through the effective and efficient utilization of information technology
2. To increase communication and collaboration among faculty, staff, students, and outside community
3. To build a community which fosters, supports and rewards innovation and creativity
4. Create a plan for logical and effective management of technological resources.
5. Create a centralized location to support faculty’s specialized technology needs in support of the academic program (high end technology needs)
